The specific objectives of the project were:

• development of a new generation of GHG models
• comprehensive projections of GHG emissions that can be utilized by the government of Ukraine to inform its decision-making
• development of the specific forecasting models of certain sectors Ukrainian economy (energy, heat supply, etc.)including incorporation of available sector-specific MAC curves

identification and assessment of mitigation opportunities in Ukraine, which will serve as a basis for the preparation of a concept of Ukraine’s low carbon growth strategy by 2020 and 2050.
