Project Description

Current framework conditions for energy efficiency in Iran – Carrying out a fact-finding mission

We assess the conditions for the development of the energy efficiency potentials in Iran and rate the policies that are intended to create incentive mechanisms for more energy efficiency. Our findings were collected in a report and used as input for a workshop about policies and instruments for the development of energy efficiency in Iran. The focus lies on incentive mechanisms for public players and players from the industry to strive for higher energy efficiency under consideration of country-specific conditions such as a predominantly state-owned economy and subsidized energy prices.
