Developing and carrying out training modules about capacity building and the development of NAMA and NAPA strategies

In order to raise awareness and understanding of Post-Kyoto mitigation and adaptation mechanisms DIW Econ designs and conducts training modules for the development of NAMA and NAPA strategies in Central Asian countries.

In the first module participants are trained to better understand and being prepared for international climate negotiation procedures and setting-up common positions. The second module focuses on the development of NAMA (Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action) and NAPA (National Adaptation Programmes of Action) strategies in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
